The stove is in the corner of our basement and pretty much heats the entire house, other than the initial warm-up by the heat pump in the mornings.We have not done much with this space, other than the stove. Eventually, this is going to be a comfortable space for reading and conversation, with built in bookshelves.

Oh, the stove looks so cozy. I love it. My husband and I installed a similar corn stove in our work-in-progress basement to help us get through the long Wisconsin winters. But, we bought everything when it went on sale (basically, right as spring was about to start), so we haven't gotten to try everything out and check out the heating savings, so we're actually looking forward to next winter! http://winterinwisconsin.blogspot.com/2007/05/corn-stove.html
